Dana Turner has had an unconventional journey leading to the formation of Tech People Resources. It began as a desire to “help people and save the world,” leading to a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Colorado State University. Quickly realizing she wasn’t cut out for that, she ended up in Healthcare, rising from entry-level positions to upper level management, and a real passion was ignited. Fascinated by the complexities of leadership, especially in very large organizations, she advanced her career with a Master of Healthcare Administration and Management with an emphasis on Leadership and Change Management, graduating with honors.
By helping Leaders and Organizations invest in and connect to their teams, Turner is able finally to “help people and save the world.” Her philosophy is to empower leaders and teams by implementing simple solutions designed to grow positive, productive organizations.

Brent Houchin has specialized in Human Resources Management for more than 25 years, working for organizations of all sizes, from healthcare to high-tech and entertainment in California, Colorado, and across the western U.S. After working in a number of companies, he identified several emerging trends, including a lack of clear information and respect in the workplace relating to Human Resources processes. In 2006, he formed Houchin Consulting to address these opportunities.
That firm supports and guides small companies in the full range of Human Resources needs, and works with organizations of all sizes in areas such as Employee Relations, Lay-Offs, Leadership Coaching, Sourcing and Recruiting, Employee Handbook and applicable HR forms, Well-Being, HR Strategies,
Together with Dana Turner, Houchin followed a passion for teaching and together they formed Tech People Resources in 2019 to deliver high-impact, highly customized learning and development curricula specifically for companies in the tech industry.
Houchin is a member of the LGBTQI community, and works to ensure that everyone in every company with which he works is treated with courtesy and respect. He and Turner are building that respect for Diversity and Inclusion into the fabric of Tech People Resources and every learning program it creates.
